Annual Report
School development priorities for the year 2017 had its focus on academic areas, activities and discipline of students ,specific areas identified for improvement were the following: Improve the academic standard of the school undertaking activity and project oriented teaching. Increase the overall pass rate at AISSE and AISSCE. Plan and execute sufficient co curricular and extra curricular activities in a balanced way. Enhance the discipline of our students and enhance the image of the school. Admission and Strength: The academic year 2017-18 began on 5th June 2017 with strength of 965 on the roll. However , classes IX , X and XII started on 1st April 2017. Class XI started on 10th July 2017. The total strength of students is 969. Teaching and Non teaching Staff: There are 47 teachers and 10 non teaching staff. CBSE Board Examination Result: I am glad to note that our students of class X and XII came out with flying colours in both AISSE2017 and AISSCE 2017. Safa Abdul Jabbar was the topper in Science stream and Farzeena P in commerce stream. Shamila C and Zainab Redha Abdul Razak secured A1 in all subjects. 33 students appeared in AISSE 2017.

School Parliament: The school election was held on 17th June 2017. Fathimathul Naja Rasheed was elected as the School Leader and Muhammed Anees as the Speaker. The parliament was held every month in the presence of Social club convener Ms. Reshma K. The system helped to sort out various class room issues. It served as the best platform to develop leadership skill. Clubs and Associations: The following clubs and associations were constituted Arts Club, Eco Club, Maths and Science Club ,Social Science Club, literary Club, Health and Hygiene Club and Commerce Association.

Eco club was inaugurated on 5th June 2017, the World environment Day. Club members were given mango saplings with instructions to plant at their surroundings. Environmental Awareness activities were conducted. Ms. Biby Mol P J , our SEED coordinator and Ms. Geetha M N, convener of Science club arranged this programme.

Investiture ceremony was organized by Social club on 19th June 2017 under the leadership of Club convener Ms. Reshma K . Our School managing committee president Janab C P Muhammed Kunhi Haji assigned the power to the students and handed over the badge to them.

The inauguration of the Literary Club was held on 19th June 2017 by the Principal Ms. Rahna K . It was constituted under the supervision of Ms.Jasna, convener English Club.School leader delivered a speech about the importance of club activities . Essay writing and poem creation competition were held on that day. The Club took special interest in enriching the skill in English language. Health and Hygiene club functioned under the supervision of MS. Shakira. The club introduced varied mechanism to look into the classroom neatness and to make the campus free from wastes. Inspired the students to take MR vaccination and organized awareness class for this, under the leadership of Health Inspector, Puzhathi Grama Panchayath , Mr. Satheesh and Ms. Bindu P, Junior Public Head Nurse and Ms. Meera Christi.

Observance of Significant Days: Significant Days were observed with great enthusiasm. On 5th June World Environmental Day was observed.
Vayana Dinam was celebrated on June 19th under the aegis of Literary Club. Reading competition was conducted. Anti Tobacco Day was also observed on the same day.

June 21st school celebrated World Yoga Day. Students delivered speech in connection regarding the importance of that day. Yoga class and exercise was done by the students under the supervision of MS. Bibymol P J. Music Day was celebrated on 21st June under the leadership of MS. Rakhi Rajan. An intensive English campaign was launched with a view to enrich communication skill. Ms.Bibymol P J , the convener of SEED club received the Mathrubhoomi Nanma Award (IInd place 2017),a momento and a cash award of Rs. 10000 from mathrubhoomi organizer on 29th July 2017. The programme was organized at Amritha Vidyalaya. Our SEED reporter ,Muhammed Falah of class VI handed over the momento and the cash prize received to the Principal in the school assembly on 31st July.

Independence day was celebrated with patriotic fervor. Janab C P Muhammed Kunhi haji hoisted the flag. School Manager Mr. Abdul Sathar K N , Secretary Mr. P V Younus and Principal spoke on the occasion. Students presented patriotic songs , drama and thematic dance on the stage. Eco club honoured chingam 1. On 17th August Mohammed Raseen from class VI was awarded Kutty Farmer in the puzhathi municipal zone. Mr. K V Noushad Hashim, sponser of Suprabatham news paper in our school, handed over the news paper to our School Leader fathimathul Naja noushad in the School assembly. On 8th August Rangotsav , colouring and handwriting competition was held in our school. Safa fathima P A of class IV, won Third rank in colouring competition in the national level.

29th August School Youth Festival was held in the school auditorium.
Prefects were selected and activities were conducted to ensure that proper student leadership and involvement is ensured. We appreciate the entire prefects for their commitment and active involvement in the smooth running of the school programmes. On 13th September Special Awareness class was organized by the excise Department on ‘Drugs and its effect in the society’ under the leadership of Mr. Suresh Kumar S and team have taken demonstration class with a good video presentation. 14th September, Hindi day was celebrated on behalf of literary club. Students participated in different activities highlighting the importance of Hindi language.

On September 19th, Kannur Sahodaya Sports Quiz Competition was held in our school, Muhammed Yousuf , ADM of Kannur district, inaugurated the function . Nearly 50 schools participated. In category III, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan won the first place and in category IV Chinmaya Vidyalaya.

School Assembly: General assembly was conducted every Monday. Every pupil in every class gets better exposure through this system. The newly built auditorium in memory of k Abdulla Haji, played a greater role in arranging different activities. Friday Coin: In order to kindle sense of empathy towards the poor and the needy, the charity venture launched in 2014 continued during the report year also

On 28th October students along with teachers visited Thanal Veedu , at Padannapalam in Chalad to console the destitute and the patients.

November 1st , Kerala Piravi Dinam was celebrated in a grand way. On behalf of the literary club, teachers and students collected old traditional things which was used by our predecessors, to convince the importance of our Gods Own Country. In the spirit of Malayalam was drowned in the minds of Malayalees on that day.

Sports: The School Annual Meet was held on 9th November. The flag was unfurled by Janab C P Muhammed Kunhi Haji .The event started at 8:30am . Athletes paraded for the March past under respective house captions. Emerald House clinched the overall championship trophy followed by Topaz House,the runner up.

Competitions and Competitive Exams: School takes better care for preparing the students for competitions and competitive exams. 35 students appeared for Sarvodaya Talent Search Exam and 176 students for Sahodaya talent Search Exam. Number of students participated in different competitions in Sahodaya Cultural Fest held by the North Kerala Sahodaya Complex. We congratulate them all for their success and achievement.

Faculty Improvement Programmes: Teachers in different faculties were given orientation classes from time to time. Ms. Shamna C attended Accountancy workshop on 14th June at S N Vidya Mandir, Kannur. Orientation class for teachers was conducted on 7th October under the leadership of Mr. S V Muhammed Ali, he is a psychologist and an academic counsellor. On 18th October Orientation class for teachers was organised by Macmillian Publishers under the leadership of Mr. Sunil D Kuruvilla, the founder of Insight Mission . It was indeed a great experience to be with him in a Diwali day.
November 9th, Ms. Sindhu K K attended orientation class in Hindi by Good Luck Publishers.

21st Annual Day Celebration is /was being held today, on November 15th 2017,the august presence of Our Chief Guest Mr. K M Shaji (MLA) and Mr. Mir Muhammed Ali (District Collector),who will hand over the Students Excellence Award , adding the festivity of the occasion. Mr. C P Muhammed Kunhi Haji presided over the function. Pupil Leader Fathimathul Naja Rasheed welcomed the audience and Swaliha K , Assistant School Leader will express the vote of thanks.
